Materials

Internal/external materials: 100% Recycled Polyester

For the inside/outside of our plushies, 100% recycled polyester is used. This is a durable material that is very strong and resists shrinking, stretching and dries quickly (this doesn't mean you should use your plush toy underwater). These benefits have a long lasting effect so there's no need to worry about your plush toy breaking apart.


The polyester itself is recycled, meaning it was made from PET bottles & plastic waste. This results in the same strong fabric with a low environmental impact. This:

  • Reduces plastic waste
  • Reduces the amount of new materials needing to be created from scratch
  • Results in less CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions

A downside to using polyester is the fact that it doesn't break down naturally into the environment which with recycled polyester we try to limit as much as possible.


Thread used on plush: Cotton

For patterns you see on our plushies cotton is used. Think about embroidered eyes or other woven things inside the plush itself. It's a natural fabric that is strong, but not as much of this material is used in our products due to it being prone to fraying more easily and lack the stretchy/squishy feel we want you to experience.



Doing designs different

Instead of hiring professional artists, we hire a specific group of artists with exceptional talents when it comes to both creating digital art and art inside Geometry Dash. Since most of our characters come from the game itself, this makes the in-game characters our creators made, that have 1000s of hours spent on them, come to life as well as possible, looking both extremely adorable and accurate to the in-game character itself.

"I really enjoyed working on the background banner sketches and designing the mystery box, Especially due to the clear and straightforward workflow. The planning and communication was a lot smoother than I expected and all of the elements and assets should in theory came together cohesively to complement the Skeleton plushies. The web banner concept is intuitive, and the hidden Easter eggs add a playful touch to the overall experience imo."

"Creating 3d models, animations & renders for this website was one of the biggest client projects I did yet. It was a very time intensive project with a lot of changes - but it was fun and I learned a lot. Building worlds for the plushies was a great experience - im very happy that I was able to work on this project!"



Safety testing

All soft plush toys are safety tested under the commodity code "9503.00.41" (Stuffed toys representing animals or non-human creatures) for the US and Europe. Safety tests occured for flammability, heavy metals content, mechanical hazards (e.g. choking hazards/suffocation) all which the toys passed with in total 21 distinct tests being done to ensure the safety of the product. These includes the following mandatory tests required to pass to be able to sell plush toys in Europe and the US:

EU:

    • EN 71-1 – Mechanical and physical properties
    • EN 71-2 – Flammability
    • EN 71-3 – Migration of certain elements
    • Any additional recommended chemical tests (e.g. phthalates, azo dyes, PAHs) to address relevant REACH Annex XVII restrictions for toys

US:

    • ASTM F963 (latest version in force)
    • CPSIA total lead (substrate and surface coatings)
    • CPSIA phthalates in accessible plasticised components
    • Any applicable 16 CFR requirements normally included for children’s plush toys

On our label a "CE" mark can be seen indicating our plushies are safety tested to be sold in the EU

Future safety tests will be done in Asia to obtain a CCC code required to sell in this continent.



Our manufacturer

Since many plush toy manufacturers focus on creating plush toys as cheaply as possible to gain a lot of profit while not focussing on the quality of the actual product, it was difficult to find a great manufacturer that does things differently. When our plushies come to life the goal is to have a genuine product which colors don't fade/of which the materials don't break off after a few months.

This is why we decided to go with YourStuffMade, a plush toy manufacturer based in Australia that focusses on bringing products to life in an ethical & sustainable way..

From ordering your plushies to them arriving at the doorstep

Currently all our plushies are made in China. Besides the cost-effective production that is beneficial to provide great pricing for our customers, Chinese toy manufacturers have a high expertise when it comes to manufacturing with great care and quality. They provide us the ability to create a good product with high efficiency, having customizable designs with their enormous market also making it a fast and reliable option for the plushies to arrive in their designated countries.

Once the toys are made they then are shipped to warehouses in the EU and the US where the picking, packing and shipping directly to your doorstep happens. Both spots are located very efficiently for products to be able to reach homes as quickly as possible.

We only sell to customers in these sections of the world to guarantee quality/safety of the product without trying to do too much at once and neglecting a great customer experience.
